In my life two things have remained present, photography and petrol. For as long as I can remember I have always had a camera, I spent my pocket money on film, and used it to capture what was around me, it was probably inevitable that living in a petrol obsessed house that the two interests would eventually amalgamate themselves.
Since the very beginning I didn’t want to produce generic shots I wanted to be unique and for my work to be identifiable not by the byline but by the style. I started to look away from the motor sport scene and started to investigate the tools and techniques used in other disciplines of photography and the ways that I could introduce that into my work.
Although I work full time as a photographer I still thoroughly enjoy taking my camera out and exploring other areas of photography from macro work through to high key fashion, this step away from my safety zone is one that I thoroughly enjoy it allows me to push my own skill set, experiment with what works and what doesn’t.
Since leaving school I have progressed my career simultaneously in two parallels both as a news and also as a Motor Sport photographer.
In that time I have developed and refinded a strong and stable basis in the high pressure world of news photography. As well as a strong and unique style of motor sport photography , a style which has allowed me to join the exclusive list of photographers that have been awarded with the title of the Renault MSA young motor sport photographer of the year 2009 award.
Equipped with the latest in Canon digital camera and apple computers I is able to bring my unique award winning images to your website, magazine, newspaper or all three simultaneously.
